At this level no player or coach gets scared of the competitor. As a former D-1 athlete who wasn't very good, I can tell you those kinds of thoughts never enter your mind. Don't confuse taking your opponent seriously with fear.

about things right now, maybe. I know there won't be a lick of fear in any player, coach, or staff come Monday night on our sideline, though, regardless of how they all spend their time between now and then.

I like how Dabo is consistent with his talk and approach in putting more emphasis on the players and their experiences and development. All of these big games, these new destinations, traditions, lore - dude is walking the walk and showing his charges how to do the same.
