Looks like it'll be another Clemson home game.***

Seems everyone is not buying the media's

Dec 28, 2015, 2:50 PM

OU propaganda after all.

Clemson home game, huh?

I'll take that as a W and spot in the Championship Game.

Go Tigers!!

CU: 38% OU: 16% FL purchases are a toss up. ~2.4/1***

A huge chunk of the Orlando Clemson Club will be there. I'm confident there are many more Tigers in FL than Sooners

Yep, 7600 tickets still left for sale on stubhub. I'm sure the inflated NYE pricing on flights / accommodations are affecting people's decision to go or not.

It's definitely odd that you can sit in row 20 on the 50 yard line at a bowl game for less than it would cost to sit in the same seat at any Clemson home game.

Many Clemson fans having to make choices this year ... since

Dec 28, 2015, 3:04 PM

most years, they only have to pay for one "bowl game" and financing that trip is a stretch to a lot of budgets.

It's been much tougher this year!

Do you spend your normal "bowl money" going to the ACC Championship in Charlotte?

Do you hold on and spend it going to Miami on New Year's Eve for the Orange Bowl semi-final?

Or do you wait and spend the wad going all the way out to Phoenix for the NC game?

And if things go the way Tiger fans hope and expect in the future, this is going to be an annual decision that they have to make.

Go Tigers! Beat the Sooners!!!

People will borrow money to attend the NC game. There will be as many or more Clemson fans at the NC as were at the ACCCG!!!!

Agreed on people borrowing $$$ to go to Phoenix. Although I think the travel distance and not having the 2 week jump on tickets will influence the amount of orange in Charlotte vs the amount of orange in Phoenix.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No there won't...the ACCCG was essentially a home game

If they expect southern fans to show up for these games...

Dec 28, 2015, 4:53 PM [ in reply to Many Clemson fans having to make choices this year ... since ]

they need to hold them in the southeast. Bowls are getting the biggest part of their revenue from advertising and TV contracts. The cities which host the games are also pitching in a buck or two.

The game is changing, it's always been about the money but until the bowl folks get to determine the order of selections it isn't going to change.

Paid $200 a pop a few weeks ago for upper deck seats...I knew I should have waited

Supply and demand at work.

Dec 29, 2015, 7:29 AM

No reason that tickets to a game between student athletes has to cost a bundle.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Seats are cheaper if you don't mind OU sections.

Dec 29, 2015, 8:36 AM

I keep an eye on tickets for weeks now. It's always been cheaper in OU sections.
