CFP Location Selection

Not to overlook the state championship or the SCAR game, would we 100% select the Sugar Bowl if we're #1? If we were to play Auburn it would seemingly be a disadvantage and we would rather go to the Rose Bowl. Is that an option or is it geographically preset?

Word for word below. I don't think we get a choice - the committee decides. But there is more than geographical location considered.

"When assigning teams to sites, the committee will place the top two seeds at the most advantageous sites, weighing criteria such as convenience of travel for its fans, home-crowd advantage or disadvantage and general familiarity with the host city and its stadium. Preference will go to the No. 1 seed."

This is interesting. If they're doing this, why wouldn't the school get to decide. Very vague wording from the CFP on this.
