CFB Matrix has a near perfect record at predicting

a list of 9-11 teams which will include the 2 which will play for the NC.
In the last 9 years these lists included every team which played in the BCS title game
In the last 13 years the lists have included 25 of the 26 teams in the title games.
The author, Dave Bartoo, uses several constant criteria for determining which teams will be on the list, and as you will see from this year's list, the criteria causes some long shots to be included, but last year's list included Auburn which was a similar longshot.
Here's the list for this year. Teams not on this list have less than a 5% chance of getting to the final game.
1.BAMA
2.AUB
3.FL - they rank high in the matrix, but with a weak chance of making the final game, like Auburn last year.
4.FSU
5.UGA - Matrix thinks they will earn a playoff berth
6.LSU
7.OHIO ST - strong favorite
8.OK
9.ND - another team with a weak chance
10.OR

especially given all the recent controversy.
Nevertheless, regardless of a pundit's track record, oft times the Fates have a way of messing with said prognosticators.
We're hoping this will be one of those years.

Lol, mind blowing stuff there..So basically, he takes in his mind, the perceived top 5 from the SEC (bold - considering one sec team makes it every year) and then picks 5 other perennial powerhouses with one wild card thrown in? Wow, what a formula - isn't this called coot logic?

Heck - just pick the top 10 in the SEC - and then 1 other team from all of the other conferences - and BOOM - you got the teams.

they'll be shooting in the dark as to how this will happen.
Now if they predicted which conference affiliated teams may go undefeated that's different.
