please stop with the inferences of no big deal... until it hits your home, like it has hit mine with one death and 7 positive cases, the inferences project an insensitivity to those of us who not only have to deal with the mental and emotional toll, but the financial toll as well. The media did not do a drive-by infection on my family, so all the theories of this being irrelevant can kiss my donkey...
those percentages are going to grow as testing becomes more widespread and carriers infect the vulnerable people in their lives...

My condolences, sorry your family has been adversely effected but no reference to downplay was made. I was just showing current numbers. As adults people on the board can make their own conclusions.

Life will get back to normal soon. Distancing measures bought us time and our doctors are killing it with new treatments. Economy can withstand another month if banks are willing to loan. Sorry to those who have lost loved ones.

social distancing is working. Anyone who thinks this virus isn't a big deal needs to research what it does to your body. Even people who survive are likely to have permanent lung damage. And ventilators? They maybe save 30-45% of the people who get put on them - so they too can have permanent lung damage.
