Burch - Academic Issues?

Feb 6, 2020, 12:43 PM

Someone speculated yesterday that a low SAT score (720) was the issue. I think SAT scores should be kept private.

But that said, if Clowney can get into SCAR, I dont know why this is an issue for Burch or really ANYONE with a pulse.

Thoughts? Anyone else hearing that there could be academic issues?

The on-line PE courses are the most ridiculous! But the lower level math courses are a joke also.

I just don't see where academic issues would prevent the LOI from being signed, or result in Muschamp telling reporters they'd have to ask them(Burch and his family) about why it hasn't been signed yet. If he's not able to get into South Carolina due to grades then he's not likely to get into LSU or another major program either. Signing the LOI wouldn't prevent him from going to JUCO if he ended up not being academically eligible.

At this point I think the most likely thing going on is that either he wants to go to LSU, but his mom is pressing him to stay home and go to South Carolina, or he's wanting to play for South Carolina and his mom is pressing him to go to LSU.

It's also possible that he's truly torn between LSU and South Carolina. Maybe he loves the LSU coaches, and loves the idea of playing for a national contender. On the other hand though it's not an easy choice because he'd be moving away from home, and he has several friends who are going to be on the South Carolina team.

They're waiting on a job offer from LSU?

It isn't grades. Not at SCar. If he was serious about this

commitment, he would've signed in December. It's a circus led by his mother, apparently. They're in for a rude awakening.

For his sake, I hope it is not issues with academics. I

hope it's just a conflict of interest between the two schools or with his mom.

uof6c will admit anyone...

under the age of 80 that hasn't been dead more than four days.

Their admissions requirements are an absolute joke.

That old joke is entirely accurate;

What do students at Clemson and uof6c have in common?

The both got accepted to uof6c.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I've heard scar sends acceptance letters with scholarship offers to intelligent students who didn't even apply.

They are just hoping to confuse the students to get them on campus.

Dabo doesn't recruit guys that may not get in so with that said I seriously doubt grades for him getting into South Carolina definitely isn't an issue.
