Anybody remember when our offense used to consist of

Sep 4, 2013, 2:56 PM

about 60 dump outs to the flat with a run up the middle mixed in for good measure.

Neither do I

Just like those days of us "pulling a Clemson", those days are long gone...Thank goodness!!!

oh gawd not another bubble screen!!

Sep 4, 2013, 3:06 PM

Was what my friends and I would say almost every game in the 2008-10 season

Yeah, it was a lot like UNC's current offense.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Three yards and a cloud of dust.

Sep 4, 2013, 3:22 PM

That's what it used to be under Danny Ford. Worked pretty well back then, but it's a different game now.

"Well, other than that, Mrs. Lincoln....how was the play?"

I remember 2006 after VT exposed us that if you put 8 in the box to stop spiller/davis, we couldnt throw.

"Proctor back to throw, and throws it out of bounds"
"Proctor back to throw, and throws it out of bounds"
"Proctor back to throw, and throws it out of bounds"

Punt

ESPN called those "senior decisions"

Sep 4, 2013, 4:43 PM

Those guys (specifically Bob Davie) were idiots. Every time Proctor would throw one to the band, they would chalk it up to good decisionmaking.

So glad we are where we are now.

Why is a WR screen something that never works for us, but the opposing team seems to get it right?

I'm just glad they are no longer a staple of our offense
