Great ambassador for Clemson. Not only with what he says, but by what he's done. In the NFL and by sending his son to Clemson. Thanked Clemson for giving him a chance. He also said when he came to Clemson, with today's player rankings, he would have been a 1 or 2 star player.

We took him along with Patrick Sapp. Sapp was the big time recruit.

As an Eagle fan Dawkins is my favorite player college and pro. He brought such intensity that could not be matched! He still loves our Tigers too!!

Coach Stockstill went to see Pat Sapp (who they had offered and were heavily recruiting) play a basketball game. Afterwards, Coach Stock asked who one of Pat's teammates was because he was so explosive. Pat told him, "Coach, you don't know about Brian Dawkins?" So they went to the HS coaches office and pulled up some football game film and Stock offered Brian Dawkins on the spot. Great story. Great player and man!
