like he was responsible for instituting the Oklahoma drills and going live tackling with best on best. When we started tackling live in practice vice the thud stuff, that's when our def starting improving esp the tackling!

I like how BV mentioned he had to coach the coaches and see what they could and couldn't do. I also like how he says he had to adjust to the different philosophy at CU of playing players that he feels aren't ready but at the end he realized it helps mentally in the locker room and with the confidence of the players going forward. I agree with Coach Swinney's philosophy, get them some game time experience, live bullets, even if it's only 6-8 plays per game. It's very difficult to expect these players to sit the sideline all year and the next season be immediate contributors with no game experience. SO glad to have the staff we have at CU esp. Coach Venables.
