teams feel pressured and guilted into wearing pink. I'm obviously not criticizing the Swinneys, I'm criticizing those who use it to their own financial ends. It's a wildly profitable marketing tool for dozens of companies.
The idea that pink uniforms and pink 5 hour energy and pink waistbands has saved a single life is a joke. Read the article.

Your right there is a lot of fraud in the movement........

A lot of the fund raising is based on awareness not helping those who are effected....... To me that is sad.... I know of a situation in Columbia in which a hospital used 90% of the funds they raised for a big gala for the doctors and staff... Too me that is basically fraud........ So you should always research who you are giving money to and what they are going to do with it........
I think Coach Swinney choose to do the Breast Cancer Awareness game against FSU without pressure.... His sister in law is dying of cancer..... His wife carries the breast cancer gene.....

Good point about the Swinneys. I want to make it clear

that I am not criticizing them at all. However, I would be very surprised if aggressive marketing is not involved. Those people are EVERYWHERE. Football has been conquered by them. Once they settle in, it seems insensitive to cancer patients to resist them.
There are countless causes that deserve attention. Giving disproportionate attention to one may actually harm others.

Fighting cancer is too danged important to let some small minded crooks steal

The entire movement is currently infected by the scam wave.

Overall disease donations have not risen to a fraction of corporate profit from breast cancer themed merchandise and marketing.
Read the article if you are truly interested.

They don't. They can't. It's political suicide.

Anyone who speaks against it are automatically hit with accusations that they are against curing cancer or that they are insecure of their masculinity and don't like the color pink.
It's much easier to put on the ribbon and go with the flow. That's why its such an effective marketing movement. Evil organizations like Susan G Komen use cancer victims and their suffering as shields to protect themselves.
It works on uninformed citizens.

Those 2 articles seem spun in just 1 direction

Of course everyone is entitled to their opinions but there is a lot more to those stories and a lot of questions I'd like to counter with those authors. Of course I can't and really don't care to spend a Sat night debating it so I'll just say I don't agree with them but more power to the people who do.

is the public education. Seems to be made unimportant and almost a joke and that it's just a way to feed themselves more money.
I wholeheartedly disagree with many aspects of that section.
But hey, that's just my feelings

Sad but true, once you start asking questions and you look at the paper trail it becomes infuriating. The problem is it's hard to uncover or expose non profits because you don't want to deal with the backlash. Most people assume they are good and if anything "bad" happens "someone" will police it.
Except it never happens because you or I don't have the means to blow the whistle, and it would not be in a persons best interest to do so. So they just keep chugging along, while more and more pop up every day.
