Bought some encore azaleas today for under the pine trees

bought some little ones last year that didn't take, so I picked up some 2.5 gallon ones today. I have two clusters of pines on each side of my front yard. Plan is to fille the underneath with big azalea bushes and maybe a dogwood or two.
Need to make sure these take before I buy too many though.

the grass. Weed n feed basically. And every year I think better of it, and wait until very late April or early May. And every year I see neighbors doing it in March or early April. And every year I'm glad I waited. Come August and September, the difference shows.

don't put them too deep. Azalea roots like to stay shallow.

I don't believe they will grow in soil that doesn't drain well. I have heavy clay at my house and had to dig a drainage trench for each hole to keep my newly planted azaleas from drowning...
