1957...After sadly dribbling a Tar Heel Baby Blue & White Basketball the prior 3 years in Charlotte (Dad went there b/4 WW2) before moving to Greenville SC..

And, my future Bro-in-Law invited his Sis & me to Tigertown for my 1st Clemson FB game...and I returned home and threw that round ball in the dumpster since I'd turned Orange in One Day!

Halaluya...I became a Clemson Fan...2 years later a student..and a graduate "finally" 9 years later (after a stint in Navy & marriage)!

What luck was that?!

My Dad went there during WW2 and I was accepted but at the last minute changed my mind and went to CU.

One of the best if not the best decision I ever made.
