I think he meant national brand. They still have a name because of, well, you know, once upon a time.

The definition of awesome!

The home slate in 2015 looks "golden". We've got ND, GT, Wake, BC, and FSU. Who else should we add, Cal and Tulsa?

In all seriousness, our schedule will be tougher going forward and that's a good thing.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I hate this format, end the fixed rival and get with

Jun 4, 2013, 2:30 PM

something better. Playing a team every 10 years or whatever it is might as well not be a fellow conference team. Of course, there will probably be a little more conference shuffling before this schedule ever goes all the way through.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

weird observation: the "gold" teams are all grouped together

Jun 4, 2013, 2:32 PM

every even-numbered year, our away schedule is:

Georgia Tech (gold and black), Wake Forest (gold and black), Boston College (gold and maroon), Florida State (gold and maroon)

every odd-numbered year, we play those same teams at home, and even add the BB heads (ND) in 2015. 2015 will be a "Golden" home schedule.....

Easy way to remember our scheduled opponent groupings.

Article says that Miami hasn't been to Clemson since 2005? They were there in 2010. That day was hot! Their fans were terrible and I remember thinking why doesn't he put Boyd in? I wished I had forgot it

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Leonard Hankerson destroyed us that game.

Jun 4, 2013, 7:17 PM

I think everyone would like to forget about that one.

Wow...big time games in 2014 and 2015. Is there a chance we add another SEC team for the 2015 season?

As of now, we're looking at some serious #### in the 2014 season. It's going to be a ridiculous challenge for whoever steps in after Tajh. Please stay Chad, please stay Chad, please stay Chad

No "permanent rivals" - 6 divisional games and 2 cross over

Jun 4, 2013, 5:26 PM

In a 14 year period, every ACC team will have rotated through both divisions so that they had played divisional games vs all 14 members.

As you can see, there are games played between the northern teams and the southern teams...but regional games are played more frequent than not.

Scheduling Frequency

Jun 4, 2013, 5:27 PM

Miami,FSU, CU, GT, NCST, UNC, Duke, Wake, UVA, VA Tech, Pitt, L-Ville, Syracuse, BC, Miami, FSU, CU, etc.

You play the team in front of you and behind you every year.
You play the team two in front and two behind you 12 out of 14 years.
You play the team three in front and three behind you 10 out of 14 years.
So on and so forth.

My perspective

Jun 4, 2013, 6:02 PM

Priority #1 is finding a good opponent for Home Games in Odd Years and Away Games in Even Years to do a Home-Home with. Starting with 2016.

I am ok with some of these home-homes being mediocre teams (Vanderbilt, Central Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Baylor are some that come to mind as possibilities). Others should be teams like Georgia, Tennessee, A&M, Auburn, Miss State, Purdue, etc.

Then fill in the Citadel, Furman, UTC, GA Southern, Coastal, Appy, etc. type games one each year at home.

Booooo! Get rid of GT! Nobody wants to play that gimmick!!***

Kind of agree. Wish we had a different cross rival sometimes***

Is it just me, or does the coastal side seem kind of weak
