I mentioned in a post a couple days back I wondered if newly-elected GOP Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado - who sued for her right to pack heat in the Capitol and comes across about as sane as Charlie Manson's former groupie Squeaky Fromme - might be the one some lawmakers had implied was giving "reconnaissance tours" of the Capitol the day before the attack, which got reported to Capitol police by concerned Representatives at the time.
Well, she insists she's not and resents being unjustly accused. Emphatically. Though no one's actually accused her publicly yet.
Guess that puts that story to bed.  ">

Certainly seen her name mentioned in some articles on the topic over the last couple days, so I get why she’d address it.
Maybe you’re right about her, but she also seems like the type who would jump at the chance to give a group of Ted Nugent lookalike constituents a personal tour.

Well, if she did that - even innocently - she definitely won the Bad Timing of the Year award. Especially because she definitely was Tweeting that Pelosi was being evacuated from the main chamber, which got her more than a few angry Wut?-type comments from her fellow Reps.
The biggest problem with her is that she's a QAnon conspiracy theorist. When you consider that hardcore QAnon conspiracy theorists really, truly believe that the Dems are a secret Cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophiles who pull the world's puppet strings in Illuminati-like fashion and that Donald Trump is God's chosen champion to smite this vile cancer growing within our great nation, are you really going to look at me with a straight face and claim she couldn't possibly be involved?
Because if she's deep into it, I'd have a harder time believing she somehow wasn't. That is, uhm, not a belief exactly compatible with sustaining the current American form of government, any more than you can come to a peaceful accord with a radicalized Muslim extremist who really, truly is convinced that he gets bumped to the head of the line in Heaven with 144 virgins available at his disposal...if he dies while plunging his sword into the heart of an Infidel.

Oh, innocent until presumed guilty.
But whether she is or not, we've got a real problem going with QAnon. The idea of Democracy kind of starts with the presumption that we're just folks here to hash some stuff out.
If the other party thinks I'm a Satanic lizard person feasting on the fear and tears of their children, we have a problem we probably can't work out, you know?

I certainly don't know but I can't imagine it's a much different number than flat-Earthers or Heavensgate members.
Also, I've noted before that all the people heavy into this Trump stuff seem to be fairly new to politics....that means they're easily distracted, which I infer to mean they'll be onto the next big conspiracy once this blows over.

I dunno.
There's a lot of QAnon out there. I know the numbers and intensity worry a lot of experts who've looked at it. I know every time I post something snarky about QAnon here on T-net I get TD'd (often on a long delay!) by people, which leads me to think it's not the Usual Suspects of people I sometimes enjoy poking at maybe a bit too much. I also know my wife - who is still on Facebook; I deleted my own accounts 4-5 years back - has a bunch of friends she's worried about because they're going right off the deep end.
As echo chambers grow, they get louder and louder. I wonder if we're at some kind of critical mass where these guys are the new ISIS, just...domestic. Not a pleasant thought.
