like if you live in Indiana or Ohio, its closer to 70%-80%. And percentage wise Texas is in the mid 30's %'s, but they burn more coal than any other state.

Coal as fuel is bad for the environment. That part is a given to anyone with a brain. The thing is though, we need coal still at this stage sadly.

Why is putting someone that worked in the EPA previously and then lobbied for coal concerns putting the fox in the hen house? So many seem to think that coal is evil or something. He has pushed for relaxing some of the restrictions on coal...which is what Trump ran on and won. Why is it then somehow corrupt to implement the policies of the POTUS?
The EPA doesn't have to be oppositional position to drivers of the economy...it needs to strike the proper balance and by all accounts, Wheeler does, imo.

Pruitt was called “as swampy as you can get” by a Republican senator.
Trump’s record here is not stellar. It has been evident by appointees that if he can’t close/eliminate certain departments, he’ll do his best to unravel it.
I don’t know anything about the new guy other than he worked with Pruitt (who has proven deceitful). What’s been his relationship with the EPA previously? Typically the coal industry lobby would works opposite of the EPA, which makes this appointment odd.
The EPA role by definition is focused on the environment and not economic drivers.
