is gonna change some calls on the defense for BV. Dex occupied 2 linemen a lot and was impossible to move in the run game. We should still win versus ND but it will change the plan they had coming in. A little more may be put on the offense than we had hoped for earlier but in truth I feel they will be able to put up more than ND will at the end. Time for Nyles and Albert to shine, have a good game guys.

but if Dex is out, it is an ENORMOUS loss for this team. The whole "next man up" and "the team is bigger than one player" theme is nice and all, but he is instant competitive advantage in the interior DL, and his talent set cannot be replaced.

Yup, Dex occupid a bunch of real estate at the line and that makes a big difference. That is why we may need more out of the offense than was planned by many here.

More than once this year, when Dex was out, Austin Bryant slid inside. We have one of the best, if not the best, freshman DE in XT. There are a lot of combinations and schemes BV can use to shut down ND and he will!

Yes, we will handle ND with or without Dex.

Sure would love to have Dex vs Bama, though.

Depends on whether ND is able to run the ball where Dex is no longer at, if they control clock it will be important for our offense to score and score quickly. Too much optimism for losing such a HUGE man off the line.

Yes it was good for short periods in a game, couple plays but over the course of a whole game Big DEX is irreplaceable.
