Korn Getting Healthy, Ready for 2009

There have been few, if any, freshmen football players that have entered Clemson University with more expectations and hype than Willy Korn.

I hope he's getting back to 100%

Back in the day, I was being recruited by Clemson to play tennis. I blew out my knee and never got back to college-level play. I pray Willy has a better experience.

Better hope Parker doesn't beat him out

Parker is good....I don't care if he didn't have as much hype out of high school....I think he has a better arm and better touch

I'll take either one. I'm just glad Willy is healthy again

Let them duke it out on the practice field this spring and may the best man win!

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

The perceived difference in hype between Korn

Dec 18, 2008, 11:52 AM [ in reply to Better hope Parker doesn't beat him out ]

and Parker was mostly a local thing, I believe. Korn was a local boy who was very highly rated, and he commited as a junior. Thus there was tremendous hype around here.

Parker was almost as highly rated a Korn; certainly in the same ballpark - the difference there was not significant. The difference was that Parker was from out of state.

I would think that people accross the country would view them as pretty much on the same level as prized recruits go.

I am beginning to think that Korn was all hype and no true substance. Why? Because a healthy Korn in spring of 2008 could not beat out an average (C-) Cullen Harper. Yes, I think 2007/2008 Harper was an unbelievable fluke of luck. I am hoping that Parker is indeed the man. Korn could be a great tight end if Dabo will work the tight end into the offense. I hope that the Korn/Parker competition does emerge as the talk of the town but I'm no longer holding my breath. Better recruit a QB for the future.
