Maybe the perception that Watson is struggling will save his career and keep him out of Cleveland. I do find it interesting that in seven games his yards and touchdowns are up, but completion percentage is down a tick and he's already had the same number of drops as all of last season in just seven games.
Just like the Heisman deal. The national TV media has decided who should win the award, no matter what anyone not named Lamar Jackson does on the field.

It maybe a good choice for DW4 to come back next year to resell himself again to the NFL. We should have a better Offense/offensive line next season, right?

What could he do to improve on that?
He's going to be a multi-millionaire in a few months regardless of his current stock with the analysts or his perceived Heisman chances.
He's having a great season and he's not coming back to Clemson. And he'd be crazy if he did.
He just needs to keep doing what he's doing and help Clemson win the title on his way up.

Cook is an animal, but it seems like running backs are really low value in the current NFL landscape. Except for a notable few they're plug and play. Interesting that more people wouldn't look elsewhere for the "best prospect."
