Best True Freshman Quarterback Ever

Sep 28, 2014, 12:16 PM

This is a debate for some of our more knowledgeable college football historians. It is also a discussion that Deshawn Watson will become a part of as the season progresses, especially after his first career start last night. Thus, I come to my question, who is considered to be the greatest True Freshman Quarterback in NCAA Football history> After a little bit of research the name I keep coming to is the great option quarterback, Jamelle Holieway, who took over for an injured Troy Aikman at Oklahoma in 1985 (he did only throw 64 passes that year). What are your guys thoughts on this topic?

Let's debate the worst speller of a true freshman's name?
Any thoughts?

Why just the NCAA? Is he not the best qb since the creation of the game? Really, it's been one start.
