Back in the day, Terence Flagler out of Fernandina Beach, Florida. He was highly touted and he really did not develop until he became a San Francisco 49er!

Man, his freshman year. He looked really good. A lot of ppl compared him to former back from the 80s, Terrence Flagler. But Rambert could never put it together after that 1st yr.
IMHO. #21

With Bellamy we were disappointed we didn't see more. With Jamie Harper we were disappointed we didn't see less.

You got the names right, but I think most of us wanted to see more of Harper...he had a couple of great moments his junior season which showed he could be a great talent.
If he had stayed, we would have had him as a senior in Chad's first year. The backfield of him & AE would have been incredible. Who knows what would have happened that year if we had him.

I try and block the '10 season out of my memory. Before Andre got hurt, I remember being mad every time that Harper got the ball, thinking "we've got Ellington sitting on the bench for this?"
Never seen such a big guy dance so much. What made it more frustrating was that we saw flashes on greatness like in the '10 Auburn game that just didn't seem to materialize.

Hated to see the way TB & Rich Rod handled Javis Austin
May 28, 2014, 5:50 PM

and what Austin did to himself. Saw him play in high school and his first couple of years at Clemson. Not speedy, but he was a great power runner, the kind the NFL used to like. Thought he was developing and had NFL potential, but the coaching change affected him probably more than any other player. The new staff seemed to be set on Travis Zachery from the start.

to turn Austin into a FULL BACK. He put on all that weight, and it really messed him up.

Ronald Williams back when I was there in the early 90's. Seems I remember he was highly recruited, had a promising freshman year, but hurt his knee or something and never did much more for us after that. Saw him jogging around campus once. Dude looked like a race horse. LOL

But his fumble vs. SC may have single-handedly started the streak.

Jamie Harper gets my vote. I'm still trying to figure out why we recruited him. And then why he went to the NFL early. I wish him luck, but was never impressed save ONE catch that was awesome. But his RB skills were way overrated IMO.
