Clemson transfers in the last 5 years

Jan 18, 2019, 11:51 AM

How many have gone somewhere and become an impact player? I believe a lineman who went to West Virginia had a really good bowl game this year, but don't recall his name. Hunter Johnson will be one on this list next year at Northwestern & Zerrick Cooper was "Newcomer of the Year" or something like that at Jacksonville, but otherwise I'd say the list is quite short.

I know at least 1 who became an impact eater***

In hindsight, if Pagano had stayed his last year, and Huggins had redshirted that year...Huggie would be a breakout star next season.

Jabril Robinson at WVU had a good season. (think he will get drafted)

Pagano couldn't stay healthy at Oregon (not drafted)

Sterling Johnson at Coastal had a pretty decent season

CJ Fuller---transfer never materialized RIP

Tucker Israel ---transfer never materialized, health issues

Zerrick Cooper---did really good at Jacksonville State....New Comer of the year as you indicated.

Amir Trapp went to Furman...not sure how he played

LaSamuel Davis===never heard what happened to him

Korrin Wiggins-- had an ok season with ECU last year

Adrian Baker-- played some with OK ST but not enough and think lost his job late in the season or stepped away from Football all together.

Ty Dye--did ok at ECU, especially considering how terrible their team was. Injuries really hurt him while he was at Clemson

Jake Fruhmorgan---on Baylor via Florida....not sure football is top priority for him

majority didn't do much after transferring. I think Jabril Robinson did really well for himself by transferring to WVU. He was a starter. He would have played with us, but being behind Wilkins, Lawrence, Huggins wouldn't have given him the tape to get into the NFL. I think what he did at WVU may open a door to NFL even if its a UFA opportunity.

I wish Ty Dye would’ve stayed healthy. He had some great HS film and I was real excited about him when he came in.

One guy that ttransfered just this year had a bowl named after him

Chad Kelly

Jan 18, 2019, 2:28 PM

The most successful "transfer" lately is Chad Kelly. He was dismissed from the team but I guess that's still technically a transfer.

I saw that LsSmmy Davis was still only 215 pounds on South Carolina State's roster this past season. It says he was a 23 year old jr in 2018.

Belk didn't want to redshirt

Jan 18, 2019, 2:44 PM
