"Per the new media policy, strength coaches have been off limits to all media since February of 2011. We haven't even stepped foot inside of the strength facility since 2010. We'd also be happy to have a sit-down with the strength staff, and we'd be happy to again cover mat drills and summer voluntary workouts, but those too have been shut down to all media."
Off limits?!? Time for reporters/media types to start pressing Dabo on this policy. Last time I checked, Batson is a state employee (translated: SC citizens pay his salary, but he can't be interviewed - ever?!) Two cents: Unless Swinney has a significant change of heart when it comes to S&C, Batson is going to end up being his Rob Spence. How about making this simple and re-assigning him to women's sports!
For those of you among us who constantly blame the S & C staff for every poor performance of this team, it shows how very little you actually know about Coach Batson.......his staff and Strength and Conditioning in general.
Coach Batson and his staff are among the most well respected and recognized amongst their peers for the job they do......obviously a better judge of their abilities than on here
Instead perhaps you should look at the offenses pathetic performance and how that contributes the game dynamic..........19 plays in the second half combined with tentative (at best) play calling is too blame.
The defense should've played both ways as much as they were on the field
