Basketball Recruiting

We just can't get the players and depth to compete in the ACC. We need to change our recruiting approach to get guys that star at these mid-majors. They have tools, but are missing one or two things, let's go get a pure shooter or point guard. How do teams like Wichita State, VCU, or Gonzaga get talent? Start looking for gym rats instead of elite athletes.

Grantham is a top 100 player and Devoe is a big time scorer who can shoot. Bodes well for next year.

Huge difference between mid major players

What you get with mid majors are experienced players that have been in the program for 4-5 years. That is the reason they are able to compete of course, you have to build a program like that, which requires patience. It is also easier to develop these guys out of the spot light and not have them start as a freshman on the road in the ACC.

For the time being we need to move KJ to the two and have the three that replaces him crash the boards better than what we are right now. Our twos are doing nothing more than taking up space.
