Was announced a month ago he'd be redshirted

just having the corrective surgery now. One thing we do have is depth at guard, Rooks would have been #3 on the depth chart behind Roper and Coleman, so in the long runs this could be a positive. Gives him a year to add some strength which he definitely needs
