How much do Heisman/New Orleans affect LsU

Obviously we have to get by OSU first, but to win a natty again we likely will need to beat LSU in a home game. Initial reaction to this is that it’s a big advantage for them, but with Burrow winning the heisman, the natty being at home, it all sets up to put them under a lot of pressure to complete this “dream” season - could that potentially work to our advantage, having inexperienced players feeling the pressure?

Yes, LSU played better on defense against UGa and A&M, but Oklahoma's offense is much more explosive than A&M and UGa.
If Auburn could throw a forward pass they would have beaten LSU at Baton Rouge, but even with the awful QB play, they only lost to LSU by 3 points. Ole Miss rolled up 611 yards of total offense on LSU.
Texas and Vanderbilt both put up 38 points on LSU early in the season. Florida rolled up 460 yards of offense, and if not for a late INT, they stayed neck and neck with LSU.
I think the CFP Final is Clemson and Oklahoma.

But a Natty played in Charleston would certainly seem to work in our favor, no?
Agreed that it’s maybe not as much of a foregone conclusion that they breeze past Oklahoma, but I certainly think LSU has a heavy advantage. Both defenses are quite vulnerable at times, and both teams can score at will. But OKs inconsistency does not inspire much faith, combined with Burrows leadership and consistency, my money is on LSU

Natural for Burrow to buy into the rat poison a bit and be overconfident. Playing in your home state and first natty may be a recipe for pressure and jitters, lack of discipline

So much of the natty game crowd is corporate and non fan. It may be 60/40 when it come to fans but not that big of a difference
