I know 100 snaps is a lot and we tired them out. But remember that clemson was in the same position this year against Louisville. I believe we played close to 100 snaps and we came up with the stop late in the game. I'm just saying.
Clemson also has more depth on defense than Alabama. Which was a polar opposite of last year. It helped them a lot more when they could substitute out , which we did a lot this year.
Yeh but all year long, their opponents averaged 63 snaps per game. They weren't prepared for those additional 36 snaps. Coupled with the frustration, you could see it on that last drive with the push on Mike Williams. Eventually our offense was going to crack that code, and it did. Football is a game of attrition & heart! Go Tigers! And bravo to Elliot & Scott for knowing just how to make it happen.
