Bama Can't Stop Our Offense

With ETN and TL hitting on all cylinders, in addition to our defense, no one can beat us.

They're actually not as good defensively this year as they are offensively . It would take a team with a really good defense to make it a game with them.
Clemson ? We have a very good defense .

Have to remember

If Bama has a bunch of injured players at playoff time, then they’ll likely get awarded the win by default. They had injuries when they lost to auburn last year and so that loss did not count.

Bama was one of only five teams with 1 or fewer losses. The only team of those five that didn't get in was UCF, and rightfully so. Bama definitely deserved to be in the playoff last year, and they proved it by beating us and then beating UGA.

We punted 7 times today. I'm hoping the play calling against Bama would've been different- otherwise they would've beaten us.

OP said no one can stop our offense. Based on what you saw today (especially in the first half) do you believe we could just run the ball up the middle, throw screen passes, and beat upper tier college football programs? I'm banking on the theory that we are waiting to open the playbook when needed.

I do agree we will continue to improve if that's what you mean. How much did we beat the point spread today, by the way?

That's irrelevant- especially since I didn't bet on the game.

Agreed...the WF defense is absolutely...

....atrocious. In Clausen's post-game presser, he talked about how they had essentially lost every scholarship linebacker on the team to injury.
We've seen this offense stall on multiple occasions, so a good defense can confound Elliott.
You all know what I mean when I say that the Wolft#Rds will come to Death Valley with a serious weed up their A55, just because they are playing Clemson. I know that Dave D will have some pre-planned targeting calls ready to go head-to-head with ET.
I hope Dabo informs the refs that this is exactly what Doeren is ready to do.

We have a lot of work on O to do before the playoffs. We have 7 more tune up games though. It should be enough.
I thought TL has looked more like a freshman in the past two games than in the first 4. He still has unreal talent. Just needs to take care of the ball better.
