Biggest program we've never played before

I'm guessing it would Texas or Michigan. I would love to schedule a series with one of these teams.

Clemson and East Carolina have never played each other in football. Basically the only southern school between Virginia to Louisiana that we've never played.
Also surprised we haven't played more Big10 teams (so far only Illinois, Minnesota, Penn St and Ohio St - all in bowl games). Maryland was in ACC and Nebraska was in Big12 at times we played them. But yeah, most of these teams in the Big10 are closer than Boston College or Syracuse.

I thought we'd never played the other USC,

but a quick internet search shows we lost to
#5 USC in 1966 in Los Angeles, #4 Alabama in
Tuscaloosa, and #9 Georgia Tech in Atlanta, all
in October. That's a tough schedule. I guess
we played all the big football schools on the
road 50+ years ago.

for decades. Penn State too. However, neither team would agree to a home and away. Both wanted a two-for-one exchange; something Clemson was simply not willing to do.

Seriously, would like to see H&A with Texas. LSU, although we have recently met in post season. Florida and Michigan would be nice, but doesn’t seem likely. Because of the respect I have for the military, would like future H&A with Navy, Army or Air Force.

elimination from the playoff to any team not named Alabama I doubt you could melt and pour most of the teams listed in this thread on Clemson.
Maybe it might be ok to schedule Clemson in the 2030's but not sooner. I bet Wyoming fans are saying Whyusing now.

coaches I think. Hayes at OSU. Switzer at Ok, Paterno at PSU, Bowden at FSU. Only Schembechler at Mich escaped, though I have no doubt if we had gotten the chance we could have bested them.
Always wanted the opportunity to beat the winningest team of all time. They're over 950 wins now.
