USC was rated way too high last week to begin with, with their 5-3 record at the time. We both started and ended the week with a better record than our friends to the south.

Until CLEMSON beats Okie St, I'm okay with wherever they are ranked. We got humbled last year. That team had some of the best pitching I've seen in a while.

The west coast has not had the upperhand recently

the last 3 decades have been about the SE and MW more than the West coast-- even when the west coast has won, the SE gets more teams to Omaha-- there's been years where practically all of the teams have been from the the ACC/SEC combined
you can argue that the west coast teams beat-up on each other to the point of getting less SR or Regionals hosts and that negatively impacts them but the results, including the last 3 champions-- Vandy, UVA and Coastal don't support the west coast theory. The days of USC(the real one) and ASU dominating are long in the past. Teams like CSF, OSU, Arizona, FrSU, Pepperdine and UCLA have broken through over the last few decades but not more than elsewhere.

quickly for the "pollsters" to keep up.
A team can be rolling along and then can lose 6+ games in a row between polls.
You can look at the vast descrepancy between these two polls and see right away that neither has a clue how the teams shold be ranked at this point.
And since college baseball is a playoff sport, the polls make even less sense.
Just something to keep fans arguing.
