I hate it for Jaron bc I think he is, at minimum, worth a combine invite. Having said that, I want him for his Sr season, so that is nothing but good news for the basketball team. Honestly, it would be good for him to showcase his skills on a high level for a second straight year.

Now he won't even get a showing at the combine. Basically eliminates him from 1st round consideration.

I would bet that one player backs out of the combine (or is injured). If JB is the first alternate, he will get a chance to showcase his talents.

Hope he comes back to tiger town though!

Being an alternate to the NBA look see means, to me anyway, that overall, the NBA at this time believes that JB may not be ready. He is good, but maybe not NBA good ... yet. If he could just play one more year at Clemson, lead us to a NCAA tournament, it would be good for him AND us.

I wish he would return, but would not blame him for going on, as hasn't he been a Clemson for 4 years?

He has. But I don't think he's going to just leave because he feels he's been here long enough. He will leave if he feels he has a good opportunity to be a pro. And if not, he's already said he'll come back and he thinks we'll have a great team next year. He said it himself.
