Rest of the ACC in 2019, not many teams trending up?

Jan 15, 2019, 5:00 PM

Looking at the final 2018 standings, it seems like all you see are teams more likely to take a step back than forward.

In the Atlantic, the 2 teams that finished behind us, Syracuse and NC State, lose 2 of the best QBs in recent school history. Hard to imagine Syracuse winning 10 games again next year, and without Finley State is destined for a rebuilding cycle. FSU, BC, Wake who knows?

In the Coastal, other than UVA trending way up: GT is changing schemes away from the Option, Duke loses a 1st round QB, Miami is a dumpster fire, Virginia Tech lost to Old Dominion on the way to a losing record, Mack Brown may double UNC's # of wins to 4 if they're lucky.

Best Is The Standard

IF Hurts goes to Miami

They will win the coastal next year with ease. I suspect hes going to either OU or Miami

FSU and Miami can't get worse, can they?

BC is trending up, imo.....

they seem to get hit with a crucial injury at QB or RB for multiple games each season, but eventually that won't happen. I think they are a solid team.
Cuse will be good again....maybe not 10 win good...but maybe 9 win good.
I think Wake is trending up (relative to Wake)....but not sure if that translates to much.
State will probably win enough games to keep Doreen but not much else.
FSU is a mess until further notice. Same with Louisville.

In the Coastal, I think UVA is trending up. And VT is probably due to trend back up after this past season.
Miami is a wild card....not sure what they will do.
Pitt will probably be the same.
Duke loses their QB, but Cutcliffe usually has another one ready.
GT will struggle, but improve gradually with system change.
UNC will hopefully stay in the garbage bin, but I guess they'll win a couple more.
