Interesting but not a surprising stat. The basketball team plays the complete opposite of the way the football team does in close games. Brownell's teams do not know how to win. Never been a Brownell basher but this is definitely coaching. He has to go.

Brownell isn't "just collecting a paycheck." He's coaching his tail off. Contrary to what you think, he loves Clemson and is a very competitive guy. He's not getting the job done in terms of winning, but it's not for lack of trying.

Disagree with the results all you like, but it's ridiculous to criticize his effort. Even the most critical fan should see that he's working hard.

per se, just mostly guys who are having trouble executing big possessions.

If you want to take the easy way out, then blame the Coach for not coaching.

If you want to take the presumptively arrogant way out then blame the Coach for not recruiting.

Just last year Brownell beat

Syracuse
Louisville
Duke
Miami
FSU
Pittsburgh

at Home.

Three of those games were wins by less than 6 points.

SO what exactly did Brownell do on those days that you're not seeing now?

This team could have packed it in after the blowouts at FSU and Syracuse, but they haven't.

Save your beatchin' like a little baby until the end of the year....
