B1G and the playoffs.

I may be in the minority here, but I'll express this viewpoint anyway.

I would rather see a B1G team in the playoffs, even if it is Ohio State, than a second SEC team in the playoffs.

I'd rather see any B1G team other than Ohio State win their conference championship. But, even if Ohio State wins I would ather see them in the playoffs than UGA or Bama or Florida or LSU or aTm or Auburn or anybody else be the second team in the playoffs.

Heck, it ain't gonna happen, but I'd love to see a 3 loss team win the SEC championship and the conference get shut out of the playoffs completely.

I agree. I can't stand the SEC!***

I've always felt that if a team can't win its conference...

it should not be rewarded with a playoff seed. I reserve the right to rescind that opinion if Clemson blows a conference game someday and doesn't win the division and misses the ACCCCG.

I think there is a rule somewhere that only Bama is allowed to do that

Bama should always be given a second chance to win a National Championship, because Bama. Even during the BCS era.

And or some reason Clemson always plays the "non-conference champ" included in the CFP team. 3 times in the past 5 years.

There is some truth to that... second chance bama.

The only other two on-conference champs included in the CFP were beaten by a combined 61-3. Thank goodness for that lucky irish field goal.

to be honest, Urban could have called for a FG attempt in the 31-0 game.

props to him for not doing it. They were on our 25 with less than 6 minutes left in the game. They had missed two FG attempts from the 30 in the 1st quarter, so maybe that also had something to do with it. Trying and missing at that point, purely to avoid a shutout, would have led to additional ridicule.

I agree with you if that team is UGA.

I have always said the playoff should be @ 8 teams. The 5 conference champions and 3 @ large teams but it is what it is.

gotta think the playoffs will be 4 conf champs if

Let's not crown bucknuts as they have to get through the conference, and there's certainly no guarantee of that. Also tired of hearing Urban's name on here. He is and was a disgrace, period.

I'll be pulling for an unbeaten Sun Belt champion to make it to the CFP***

Let's go Coastal!

Kidded a Gamecock alum earlier today about those Baby Roosters.

Yeah, this year it will be pretty obvious: the Daddy Roosters have the 3rd best FBS program in the state.
