B1G Champion will get in without a doubt

Nov 27, 2016, 2:53 PM

If Clemson wins and Penn State wins both with be in the Playoff. In this scenerio, it will be:
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. OSU
4. Penn State

If Wisconsin wins it will be:
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. OSU
4. Wisconsin

Michigan and Washington will be left out.

There is no way the Big10 Champ will be ranked

Nov 27, 2016, 2:58 PM

Behind OSU...especially if it's Penn St.

This is assuming 2 Big10 Teams get in.

Yep not a chance PSU gets ranked behind OSU. ESPN is going to be shocked all over again when the CFP gives them the business.

Washington will not be left out...

Nov 27, 2016, 3:04 PM

no way

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

agree

Nov 27, 2016, 3:06 PM

they aren't going to put a 2 loss champion in over a 1 loss champion

But does Ohio St get in over Penn St then? Wouldn't that make Conference Championships moot? It's an extra game not needed if the CFP committee doesn't respect a conference champ over a team that didn't even make it to the game. It's why there should be enough spots for the big 5 conference champs and one at large. But anyhoo Tigers win and we in!
GO TIGERS!!!

Washington will be left out with a loss to USC in the PAC-12 championship

but unfortunately, they play Colorado not USC. And they will win and will be in. Alabama, OSU, Clemson, Washington are your 1-4

Nov 27, 2016, 3:06 PM

Nope Washington will be in over big 10 champ. 2 losses vs 1

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nah

Nov 27, 2016, 3:15 PM

If Washington and Clemson win out there in. Bama is no matter what. That leaves 1 open spot and it goes to Ohio State.

A 2-loss BIG Champion won't get in due to strength of schedule (or, lack thereof in PSU's case) and lack of signature wins.

If you're going on lack of schedule, then Washington should be left out

PSU beat OSU... Winning the B1G and head-to-head... It

will be interesting to see the politics at play...

actually a conf champ PSU/Wisc would have TWO championships

Nov 27, 2016, 5:30 PM

over Ohio State, if Divisional Championships are meaningful to the committee (not sure of that though).

I'm in the Conference Champ getting preference over non, but ------ I have absolutely no problem playing Ohio State in the playoff. Don't think they could keep up with us on the scoreboard.

I think it is a joke for OSU to get in the playoff

Nov 27, 2016, 4:05 PM

when they couldn't even win their conference championship. TCU was a really good team a few years ago and got left out because they didn't win a conference championship. The difference though is that the Big XII doesn't have one. The Big 10 does and OSU wasn't good enough to make it.

I think the top four should be Alabama, Clemson, Washington, and Wisconsin/Penn State.

Ohio St will be left out.

No way they leave Wash out over a non-conf champ team.

Bama
Clem
Wash
B1G Champ

I would love to play Wash.
