game time. That in itself is a disadvantage to a finesse team. Luckily the forcast is calling for the winds to be calm, only around 5 mph as opposed to 12 mph Friday. My message to the crowd.
Do not be in "I've just got to survive the cold mode". You have to be loud, loud, loud. We can not lose the home field advantage to the cold. Also, coats etc, tend to not be orange, Try and make sure what ever you wear for warmth is Orange.

Duke game was played in the cold. I don't really see any disadvantage there, especially since there should be no winds....Go Togers!

our speedy receivies will be wearing extra items for warmth, the hands will be cold, the ball will seem harder, and Boyd the lack of concentration due to cold could mess up route running, timing etc.. But like you said, as long as we can avoid a wind disaster, we hould be ok.
Was the Duke game in th elow 40's?

Obviously you have not ever played football before. Players on the field do not get cold unless its way below freezing.

cold and the ground felt like a cold brick. I was cold. Kept sticking my hands inside the front of my football pants for warmth, and didn't care what it looked like I was doing.

If anyone noticed at the NCState game, there was more black (from the coats and such) than orange. I made the comment to my fam that folks need to leave that black stuff at home or cover with orange tshirt......

no worries, balls are kept warm and dry (in case of rain) so a fresh one can be cycled in on every play

a bit like coots.
1) It's effing football. 45 is not "cold" for football. 2) Our recievers don't catch the ball - they go and take it out of the air
3) We are going to bring so much heat that it's not going to matter what the temp is when the game starts!

45 degrees is only cold if you plan on doing some swimming. It is not what we're accustomed to in the south but a little bit of running around, which the football players WILL be doing, will have most anyone working up a sweat in 45 degrees.

And will have no effect at all on the game. You guys are really making me miss home with all the fear about 45 degrees. Snow on the ground and 28 in Minnesota.
