Has any other coach reached 90 wins

Oct 10, 2016, 1:36 PM

in less than 9 full seasons as a head coach?

That stat will go nicely with the championship trophy

Incredible, Dabo out of nowhere all the way

to the cream of the crop! His ascension is legendary, epic stories will be written about CDS was not only a great coach but also a leader if young men into humble adult men!

Fortune struck the Tigers, little did I anyone know that in 2008!!

Urban Meyer was over 100 by the end of his ninth year.

I don't think he hit 100 until his 10th year, but he is currently 159-27, while Dabo is currently 81-27... That's pretty darn impressive.

As good as Dabo has been, Urban Meyer has 78 (almost double) more wins than Dabo in his career, with the same number of losses. To match that record, Dabo would have to win out this year, and win every game for the next 4.6 years.

Well Urban was at FLORIDA and now OSU.

Two shingle schools where 5 star a player has to take a number to get in there.

Very true, but...
He did take a 2-9 Bowling Green team to 8-3 and 9-3 in his first 2 years there.
And then took a 5-6 Utah team to 10-2 (ranked 21) and 12-0 (ranked top 5) in his 2 years there, before taking over talent-rich Florida.

He's a good coach no matter how you look at it.

I would doubt in a coaches first 8 full years coaching

Oct 10, 2016, 2:13 PM

for the first time that 90 wins would be the highest. Given the possibility of extra games, conference championships and CFP that the best teams, i.e. Clemson, that he would be the first. He didn't become coach until the 7th or 8th game that 2008 season so that number could be much higher than 90 by week 7 or 8 next year.

Clemson program is premier/elite now and I love it!!
