The N is for nepotism in choosing who gets picked and for negligence for those people who call themselves scouts. It's little wonder that players like Boulware never got a decent chance. Measurables mean nothing as long as your connections are right.

Boulware signed a free-agent contract with the Carolina Panthers.

He didn't make their final roster, but he did get an opportunity.

Disappointments and rejections are part of life. Ben realizes this, which is why he's a winner.

He's presently doing well for himself even though his NFL dreams didn't pan out.

Undrafted FA rarely do make the team. If it's close the team is always going to go with guys under contract that they have to pay ie; late round picks. I am in agreeance that some of these picks of small school kids and guys that you look at and say "why would you pick that guy" when you have an Austin Bryant, Mitch Hyatt, Albert Huggins and even a Renfrow. You know guys that have not only done it but have done it against the best of the best, oh yeah, and WON. NFL teams overthink these things. That's why very few teams sustain success and is why the Patriots are who they are because they draft FOOTBALL PLAYERS.

Undrafted free agents make it all of the time
There are tons of them. A later round draft pick's salary is meaninglesa in that regard.

But if you think about it unfortunately it’s everywhere. Every place I’ve ever worked some bozo would get a job over someone more qualified or experienced cause he was somebody’s buddy or a better butt kisser. It’s the world we live in.
