will start with TL as the "heir apparent" at some point in the season, there is a risk we lose Chase Brice to a transfer. Absolutely hate it, but looking at it from his perspective, perfectly understandable--he starts at most D1 programs. When we lose that kind of talent to transfer, there is no doubt our program has "arrived" and this is an unfortunate by-product of success.

BUT, Chase won't transfer until after 3 years. Get his Clemson degree in 3 with Summer sessions and, because he redshirted he'll still have 2 years to play.


Like I said,just my opinion. Chase is a Clemson guy,will graduate,but won't hang around like Nick for 5 years.

transfer down the road. Three years in our system under Streeter, Scott, and Elliott practicing and preparing against one of the top defenses in the game, with two years of eligibility left at any program he chooses. Plus, Clemson.

I agree with your post completely. However, losing talent like we have will start to have a detrimental effect on future recruiting. That’s an unfortunate by-product of our success but one I guess we’ll have to get used to it.

After Kelly leaves if TL gets hurt next year who is going to play QB? Chase may love Clemson and knows his chance is just one accident away.
