If'n you gonna drive it forever then go for it. If'n

Feb 26, 2017, 3:56 PM

you want to get something for it later on, get a Toyota.

Nissan doesn't hold it's value.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

hoping for 20yrs

Feb 26, 2017, 3:58 PM

after that I'll be too old drive something that big. wink

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

IMO

Feb 26, 2017, 3:59 PM

The full size Nissan trucks have a more baddasss look than Toyota.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

looks are very important to me.***

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

For full-size, buy American.

Feb 26, 2017, 3:57 PM

Ford or Chevy, no MOPAR.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

everything I like is 60ish

Feb 26, 2017, 4:01 PM

I'm poor and only work one job.

I need leather, bedliner, backup camera thangy, tow capacity of at least 10,000
and there only seems to be two types of saleperson
1. act like they dont see little ole me looking at trucks
2. Only trying to sale me the BIGGEST truck

what would you try to sale me?

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The 10K towing capacity with Chevy pushes you into

Feb 26, 2017, 4:12 PM

2500 territory. You'd need a Ford with at least a 3.55 or 3.73 rear end. EcoBoost would be out.

Dang girl, what are you hauling?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

here's my story

Feb 26, 2017, 4:18 PM

I have a camper Dry Weight 4710 and a truck w/ tow capacity of 6100 (I brought the big girl frontier)
if I'm going bigger, then I want more than a few hundred pounds.

I want to pull camper through mnts with ease. (also I may want a bigger camper and hubby says I can't get the carriage before I have a big enough horse.)

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I sold Chevy and Mopar for a couple years after Clemson.

Feb 26, 2017, 4:21 PM

If someone told me that story, I'd probably recommend diesel.

For well-equipped new, you'd be looking around 60K for a diesel 2500 Chevy.

Is gently used out of the question?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

thats why I keep coming back to the Titan

Feb 26, 2017, 4:29 PM

at 42,000.

Gentle used wouldnt be a problem either, but finding something with low miles and not so close to the new price tag is tricky in my area. Heck used trucks are scarce in Gwd.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's tricky in every area. Especially for 4WD.

Feb 26, 2017, 4:37 PM

Something like this at $51K

http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=446531487

But it's a good drive to get to it. Dealership probably paid $45-46K for it so there's some negotiating room.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Is that Nissan you're looking at diesel?***

Feb 26, 2017, 4:42 PM [ in reply to thats why I keep coming back to the Titan ]

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yes. V8 turbo diesel.***

Feb 26, 2017, 4:45 PM

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

42k is a steal then.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Save your money and buy a recliner!!!

Feb 26, 2017, 4:06 PM

Ain't nobody got anywhere to go. And if you think you do, then you are in way too much of a hurry. Then again the truck is really nice looking and I would drive it....

If they gave me my keys!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I really want a suburban or Tahoe

Feb 26, 2017, 5:12 PM

They are very expensive. Looking further south, seem to be less pricey.

Feb 27, 2017, 6:28 AM

You need an American made truck. Come up to MI or KY and you will realize how important it is to buy America based and made cars.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

As of the 2017 model year, the Titan

Feb 27, 2017, 7:14 AM

Is designed, developed, and assembled in the U.S. It is the first Nissan to be managed this way.
