This article was written before Miami beat UNC...but scroll down to the 4 way tie scenario.

Clearly our destiny is in our own hands.

Some continue to post that there is some 'restarting' of the tiebreaker after a leader is determined, but that is false.

Of course we have to win both games, but there are only 2 options if that happens...(This also assumes NCST wins both of their games, but their performance is now irrelevant for us to get a top 4 seed)

UNC wins at Duke:

Duke, UNC, N.C. State and Clemson all finish 12-6

Tiebreaker: UNC would have the best group record 4-2 and finish as the No. 2 seed. N.C. State (3-2 group record) would be No. 3, Clemson (2-3 group record) would be No. 4 and Duke would be No. 5 (1-3).


Duke wins at UNC

Duke at 13-5 is the 2 seed
NCST at 12-6 is the 3 by virtue of a win vs Duke after the split with Clemson
Clemson at 12-6 is the 4 seed by overall record over 11-7 UNC

We could get the 3 seed if Duke wins over UNC and NCST drops a game.

Finally, If UNC loses at Duke and both Clemson and NCSU go 1-1 in the last two games, the 3 way tiebreak goes first to NCSU by being 1-0 vs Duke, next to UNC being 1-1 vs Duke. Clemson is the 5 seed in that scenario.

The Miami-VT winner...who will also be 11-7...they would join the tie of 11-7 teams.
