Dabo is great at his job, but it cannot be an easy one. What do you think?

Who has an easier job right now than Dabo?

Clemson recruits for itself and he has the BEST group of assistants in the country. He built it to the point that his job is now easy.

But if any Clemson fan doesn't like him right now, then he/she is stupid.

Yeah seriously. Hope he never leaves!

Clemson was "recruiting itself" in the late 1980s too, but

... It didn't take long for that to change once Danny left.

Dabo is so good at his job he's made it look easy.

It's not.

Agree, even schools like Bama don't really recruit

themselves. Some schools have higher ceiling and higher floors than others, but just 10-15 years ago multiple coaches were having trouble landing top classes and winning games at Bama. Nick Saban has turned them into the machine they are now - landing the #1 class in the country every year for about a decade now.

If you think Clemson just recruits itself, look back to our 2003 and 2004 recruiting. 67th one year and 53rd the next. We managed to sign a grand total of three 4* players in 2 years. Those classes were both 8th out of 11 teams in the ACC. In 2003 Rivals rated Wake Forest's class higher than Clemson's. That's where we were at one point.

Key words you missed: "right now"

In the current landscape of CFB, Clemson absolutely recruits for itself. We could probably land a top 25 class with almost 0 effort by just handing out offers and asking kids to commit immediately. Obviously we don't do that and that is what makes us elite.

Ahhh ... the "Ken Hatfield" recruiting model !

Things are going really good right now.

We're on a roll, largely due to getting the right coaches in place and an administration that supports them.

But, we need not fool ourselves into believing it's "easy" or that it can't turn 180 degrees in the blink of an eye.

Did that article mean to say that Clemson will not lose MORE than three games and not LESS than three games?
