Would you have said something?

Apr 29, 2013, 12:44 PM

Driving down 77 in a pretty solid rain yesterday, I watched the Ford Ranger in front of me do a couple of barrel rolls before landing on its roof and sliding to a stop...

Threw on the flashers, told my wife to call 911 and I ran over to check on the occupants. Amazingly enough, driver crawls out of his window, stands up a bit dazed but otherwise fine, I ask "are you ok, are there other passengers etc." no, everything is ok...

Ask the guy if he wants to sit in our car out of the rain until the police arrives, he obliges and we get in.

Then, he lights up a cigarette, in my car...

Wife and I didn't say anything, I think it would have been different if he hadn't just almost gotten killed.

Regardless, would you have said something or let it be? Is it ridiculous for something like that to frustrate me in that situation?

just curious of teh lunge's important opinions

I would've probably said, "please don't smoke in the car".***

Apr 29, 2013, 12:46 PM

I wouldn't have been mean about it or anything. "Hey, no smoking in here, please."

In his defense, he left the door open and was blowing it

#### him, nobody smokes in my truck...

Apr 29, 2013, 12:47 PM

I understand why he may need one, but his ### can stand in the rain. Almost dying is not justification for stinking up someone else's car.

you should have stabbed him and then set his car on fire.

That is the only way to handle any situation. Something must be set on fire.

seriously, no matter the situation, I never light up in anyone's car or home, even if they say its OK; unless they light up also.

put one car in the ditch after dodging a deer, 360d on I-40 on black ice, been hit by a sedan causing me to 360 and get hit again by the car behind which cause my passenger door to cave inward all the way to my hand brake.

All of this before I was 18 and I puked 3 of these times.

...I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent.

Quit whining about your genetic weakness of compassion and work harder to overcome it.
