You’d expect army’s ground game to be unstoppable, and navy’s OL to submarine army’s DL while launching a viscous air assault....

He served on a destroyer and one of the more interesting things his ship participated in was being in several of the Pacific nuclear tests in the 50s.

Pacific theatre in WW II. He was at both the Iwo Jima and Okinawa battles.
I was interviewed by a Naval Captain in high school, as I briefly contemplated pursuing an appointment to the Naval Academy, but went to Clemson because I wanted to be a Civil Engineer.

I servers in the Air Force, my father served in the Army, one of my Grandfathers served in the Navy the other in the Army Air Corp. So, with all due respect I would have to say, go Army! and God bless both!!!

Granddad served as an officer in the army in The Philippines during WWII after graduating from Clemson class of 1934. Without the big bombs that ended the war he probably would have been part of a military land invasion of Japan and it's a good chance I would have never been since my Mom was born a year after his return home.

Carlsbad, you must have been born after 1955 bc, the Military draft ended around 1973/1974 I was born in 1952, and I enlisted so to have some say about what I wanted to do in the Military. People who were drafted really had no choices unless they had some type of special training before getting drafted!!!
