If he would've not commmited to Clemson but Alabama or Georgia would he be number 1 instead of Fields?

I've read that scouts think Trevor Lawrence is the best prospect of the past 20 years. I think it crazy he could be that but not even be the best in his clasd

Both have elite potential. Either one could end up better than the other. Lawrence probably has the higher NFL ceiling but duel threat QBs have been more successful in college. All I know is that if I was picking one, I'd pick Lawrence. If Lawrence had just waited to commit until signing day, no chance he isn't #1.

He's classified as Pro-style on 247. He's mobile, but he's more of a pocket passer than a dual threat.

Lawrence is like 1.5 threat

He is an elite passer and a pretty good runner, but he is not going to take a game over with his legs like Kelly, Cam or Deshaun. Fields has ridiculous athleticism. Some say he has 4.4 or faster speed. I think where Lawrence is truly elite is upstairs. Only time will tell though.
