I have Keen boots, and I've thought about the sandals. I'm thinking the open toe may be the best way to go though.

They've been kayaking, hiking, vacation to Florida, pillaging raids of small villages, machete fights, reenactments of biblical genocide, music festivals, and general restaurantry. They still look fairly new and have held up better than Jameis.

I've got an orange pair from ~ 2008 and a green pair that I bought last year. The only difference is that the little cross straps are stretchy on the newer pair, which I personally don't like as well. I've got a high arch, and after awhile it squeezes my foot. Still pretty comfy though, I'd be a little upset if they quit making them, those are my go to 'going out' footwear.

I've taken them all over the upstate, rafting, in the Tetons, basically everywhere and they still haven't shown any wear and tear. I've got a toe loop, though.
