Favorite song blasting out of Johnstone

Jun 14, 2019, 9:30 AM

Got to thinking about those pregame Saterdaz (however Leonard would say it) and remember the songs blasting from the halls of Johnstone.

Most iconic to me: Frampton - Do You Feel Like I Do. If I ever hear it playing, always go back to those days.

Any specific song you can still hear coming down those halls?

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.

In my freshman year (1972-1973) I remember the guys next door in the cans playing Alice Cooper ("School's Out"), Kris Kristofferson ("Why Me?"), Cheech & Chong ("Sister Mary Elephant"), Grand Funk Railroad ("I'm Getting Closer To My Home"), Conway Twitty ("Only Make Believe") and a host of other oldies but goodies. Don't make 'em like this anymore.

door in F4 in 1988. Glad they tore it down. I appreciate the experience, but not the stairwell smell, open showers, caved in thin walls. I imagine it was perfect for the corps of cadets where discipline was enforced, not so much for students post military school.
