Anyone been to a Jewish funeral?

Heading to my first. Is it a long service or short or is it weird. I have no idea what to expect.

lots of Yiddish and then he would interpret. My bud and I were the only 2 non-Jewish folks there, but everyone was really nice.
The songs were cool that they sang, no instruments and the lady singing was beautiful, however, again all Yiddish, so no comprehendo.

Longest one I ever went to was a 3 preacher Baptist funeral

each one had to out preach the other. with about 5 full, and I mean full hymns in between each. ! hour 45 minutes later they then did visitation, so everyone was at the visitation at the same time.
That being said, RIP my friend's dad. I would go again.

however today was an emotional day for my bud. Would do it 1000x over. Love that dude.
At the funeral I kept just pondering how important the Jewish faith is to us Christians and how special and just traditional and easy that service was for that awesome lady. I don’t even know what I am saying but I caught myself pondering things I haven’t in a very long time. I could write a tiggity/1988 post but I will spare you all my rambling.

Jewish religion does a good job of remembering and honoring the past.
Unfortunately their history has a lot of pain, so even the ‘holidays’ feel like punishment sometimes.
Death is painful.

Old Testament = Torah
I kid friends that Christians are simply 'New Age' Jews! Except for the few who call themselves 'Jews for Christ', which I then call them, Christians.
