Anybody think this isn't getting out to the recruits?

I understand David Hood's explanation about deflecting issues away from players and coaches so they can focus only on the game ahead, but this appears different than that. Dabo has never threatened to leave. Doing that will be used by the teams you are fighting with for recruits. There are certain lines you can cross and lines you shouldn't if you're trying to deflect. This went way beyond that line. I hope I am wrong and this is all a rouse. It just doesn't seem that this deflection has Clemson University's best interest in mind.
