This is probably going to be the last update I do because I think we emphatically put 'C-wording' to bed on NYE. I truly think this has become a moot point, even to the most rabid Clemson naysayers, like this tool:



There were a lot of ranked-on-ranked bowl games so some teams that probably would've lost to an unranked team didn't have the opportunity to(looking at you, Florida). However, there were two.

On December 22nd, #24 Temple was beaten by Toledo, making their second appearance on the List.

And speaking of ole Petros, his alma mater, #25 the real USC, not content to let cross-town rival UCLA sit alone in 1st place on the List, lost to Wisconsin, making their stunning 7th appearance. Newly-minted HC Clay Helton joins the proud tradition set forth by predecessors Lane Kiffin and Steve Sarkisian of dropping games to unranked teams.

Meanwhile, the Tigers clinch a spot in the National Title Game after absolutely dominating inexplicably-favored Oklahoma!! Put a tombstone in the graveyard for the C-word to go alongside #4 OU!!

GO TIGERS!!! See you in AZ!!!

...to see how many different teams have been ranked during that period? I noticed Alabama wasn't on this list, but how many other teams that have been ranked haven't lost to an unranked team?
