... when UVA was actually playing a little better than Clemson that season.

Clemson won. Someone got into his class before he did Monday morning (forgot which ECE class of mine he was teaching that year) and wrote the score on his chalkboard.

He actually ate crow pretty well that day.

Think he's still there. Any ECE students out there, be sure to tell him "good game" if you see him Monday.

I did. He seemed to be a great guy.

I had a professor who had his BS, MS, and PhD from UVA the year Clemson came back from 28-0 to win 29-28. On the Monday after the game someone wrote 29-28 on a piece of paper and taped it to the projector screen before class.

I did. He single-handedly saved my butt once.

I stayed up late cramming for his Micro exam, and a power bump during the night reset my alarm causing me to sleep through the exam. I went to his office right after the exam finished, pleaded my case, and he just said, "Are you ready to take the make-up exam right now?"

I sat down and took the make-up which was supposedly harder than the normal one, and aced it.

He's a stand-up guy in my book.

Yes, I had him. Good class. He played with the Virginia pep band when the Cavs visited Death Valley that year!

But when I had him he donated every penny of those profits to the Clemson Fund.

I don't think he was a ###### at all. One of the best professors I ever had.
